We quote by phone or after a walkthrough in person or by video, and you get the estimate in writing. One crew and one truck handle your move, never a shared load. We pad and shrink-wrap furniture before it leaves the house. For whole homes, see our residential moving service. Already rented a truck or container? Our moving help crews will load or unload it for you.

Old Marshall is compact and sits almost entirely on Main Street, which carries US 70 Business through town. The French Broad River runs along the south side, hills rise on the north, and a railroad line runs through the historic district. US 25/70 itself bypasses the town to the northeast, so downtown is reached by turning onto Main Street.
The Marshall Main Street Historic District joined the National Register in 2007 and holds 40 contributing buildings, the Madison County Courthouse among them. Space at the curb is scarce. If you live or work downtown, give us the address early and we’ll plan where the crew loads.
On September 27, 2024, Helene pushed the French Broad across Main Street. Water stood seven feet deep inside at least one shop, and the mayor said the floor of town hall had buckled. By March 2025 the Downtown Marshall Association counted 10 buildings lost and 8 more structurally damaged.
If you’re buying or renting a building in town, ask about its flood history and the repairs made since. Our WNC Migration Study follows how the storm reshaped moves in and out of the mountains.
Downtown Marshall sits at 1,742 feet, but Mars Hill is up at 2,349, and its climate runs cooler. A clear morning by the river says little about the ridges. If ice, snow or any other danger is forecast for move day, we call you to change the start time or the date before a crew goes up an unsafe road.
US 25/70 continues northwest about 40 miles to Newport, Tennessee. For moves into Tennessee and elsewhere in the Southeast, licensed under USDOT 1803573, the crew checks NCDOT closure notices first and then picks the route.
Along with Marshall and Mars Hill, we serve Hot Springs, Walnut and the rest of Madison County, plus Weaverville just over the Buncombe County line.

About 19 miles northwest on US 25/70, roughly 25 minutes by car.
Yes. Downtown is squeezed between the French Broad River and the hillside, so we plan the loading spot with you before move day.
The French Broad flooded Main Street in September 2024. The Downtown Marshall Association counted 10 buildings lost and 8 structurally damaged by March 2025.
Yes. NC 213 connects the two towns, and we move houses and apartments in both, including rentals near Mars Hill University.
