"The team of Erik and Jed and Sean did a fantastic job of arranging and conducting our move from Atlanta to Asheville. Their communication throughout the whole moving process was great and they were very well organized, Jed doing a video walkthrough of the space with us prior to the move. They accommodated the dates that we requested and arrived punctually exactly when they said they would. Erik, along with Martin, carefully wrapped our old and quite heavy family furniture in blankets followed with plastic wrap to keep everything safe and in place. Everything was transported on schedule safely to Asheville... We would definitely call on them again for our next move!!"

"The guys were great! Super helpful and efficient. Will definitely hire again for my next move! Update: hired again in 2026 for my move from Asheville to Durham. Another great job! Super informative during the process (got a text from Erik letting me know when all of my stuff arrived from Durham). All of my stuff and my home were respected and in great shape throughout the entire process."

How we handle moves out of the mountains: long-distance movers.
"Jed was super helpful and professional when discussing my needs and sending me the quote. Pete and Adam worked incredibly hard by walking all my belongings down stairs and my steep driveway! Everyone was super friendly, helpful, and I would definitely use them again! My move was from Boone to Weaverville, and they were awesome!"

"This was my second move with them in 13 months. Jed organized it with efficiency and ease. Picking up in Black Mountain, North Carolina was the three man team of Erik, Adam and Justin, each of whom were a pleasure to work with… very polite, efficient, good natured, competent and intent on providing a relaxed moving experience. Just minutes into the job, I experienced a welcome wave of relief come over me after weeks of packing and preparation for the move."

More on residential moves and the towns we serve.
"We were not an easy customer. We kept having to change our moving and storage dates because of delays with our buyer. Jed was very understanding and accommodating. He made every effort to stay as close to our original bid as possible. The whole team was a pleasure to work with, Erik, Paulo, Adam & Justin were very polite and concerned about providing a good moving experience. It's a tough job and they had a really good work ethic."

"I moved 2 locations into one home and it was an emotional day, and the team was so kind to me, compassionate, and easy to work with. The team arrived right on time and was professional, hard-working, careful, communicative, friendly, and calm. Highly recommend this business and thanks, guys!"

"I hired Dry Ridge to help us unload a truck we had packed ourselves into a small cabin tucked away in the woods. Jed went out of his way to accommodate our tight schedule, and Pete and Taylor showed up right on time... This wasn't their biggest move by any stretch, but it was a tricky one with narrow and uneven stone stairs to navigate and heavy and awkward items, to get from the truck to the inside. A-plus for communication and efficiency."

"The video consultation with Jed made the process easy and transparent, the price was fair and reasonable, and their team worked super quickly and efficiently. Their professionalism and attention to detail turned what could have been a stressful day into a smooth experience. We'll definitely be using them again!"
