Interstate 26 runs along the west edge of town, and Exits 18, 19 and 21 all lead into Weaverville. Downtown Asheville is about nine miles south. Head north and the interstate crosses into Madison County at Forks of Ivy, on the way to Mars Hill. US 25/70 and US 19/23 also run through the area.
The exit you take matters. Weaver Boulevard, off I-26, is lined with newer shopping. Main Street is the older downtown, where parking is on Main Street, Pine Street and behind Town Hall. For a home near Main Street, we work out where the truck can stop before move day.
Reems Creek runs right through Weaverville, past Lake Louise Park on the south side of town. When Helene came through in September 2024, the town’s water treatment plant flooded under about eight feet of water and service was lost across the system. Water came back in stages, and the town lifted its boil-water advisory for all customers on October 16, 2024.
For a move today, the practical point is the creek itself. Some streets and drives near Reems Creek were rebuilt or repaired after the storm. If your access road has changed or has a temporary fix, tell us so we send the right size truck.
For how the storm has changed who is moving into and out of the region, see our WNC Migration Study.
Weaverville’s median age was 54.3 in the 2020 census, and plenty of moves here are someone trading a larger house for a smaller home or a senior community. Measure the rooms at the new place before move day and decide which large pieces go. It keeps the truck smaller and the unloading simpler.
From Weaverville we also cover Barnardsville, Leicester, Marshall and the rest of Buncombe County.
Send us your Weaverville address, where you’re headed and anything unusual about access: a steep drive, a gravel lane or a creek crossing. We’ll come back with an estimate. Get a free quote below or call (828) 450-3315.
About nine miles north of downtown Asheville on I-26, with town access from Exits 18, 19 and 21.
Downtown parking is on Main Street, Pine Street and behind Town Hall. Give us the address and we will plan where the truck stops before move day.
Often, but it depends on grade, surface and turnaround room. Describe the drive or send photos when you request a quote so we can plan the right truck.
