Where Dry Ridge Moving Works
Dry Ridge Moving is based at 3 Creek View Drive in Asheville and has moved Western North Carolina households since 2006. Most of our local moves happen within an hour of the city, across Buncombe, Henderson, Haywood, Madison and Transylvania counties. Each town below has its own page covering the roads, neighborhoods and access details that matter on move day.
For moves out of the mountains, we work throughout the Southeast. See long-distance movers.
Asheville and Buncombe County

- Black Mountain: east on I-40 at the Swannanoa Gap, with Montreat and Ridgecrest next door.
- Swannanoa: the US 70 corridor between Asheville and Black Mountain, still rebuilding after Helene.
- Fairview: Cane Creek farm roads and ridge homes along US 74A toward Hickorynut Gap.
- Candler: west Buncombe off I-40 and US 19/23, including Enka and Biltmore Lake.
- Leicester: coves and Sandy Mush farm country along NC 63.
- Weaverville: north of the city on I-26, with a walkable Main Street and hillside neighborhoods.
- Barnardsville: the Big Ivy valley on NC 197, where many homes sit up long gravel drives.
Henderson County
- Hendersonville: the county seat, from Main Street to 55+ communities and apple country.
- Fletcher: newer subdivisions and Cane Creek Valley homes on US 25, home to the WNC Agricultural Center.

- Canton: the Pigeon River mill town on I-40, rebuilding its downtown after Helene.
- Marshall: the Madison County seat, a downtown wedged between the French Broad River and the railroad.
- Brevard: the Transylvania County seat near Pisgah National Forest and the Brevard Music Center.
Not on the List?
We move households all over Western North Carolina, not only in these towns. Every move gets its own crew and truck, and we never combine loads. We can quote by phone, or walk through your home in person or by video for a larger move, and you get a written estimate. Since Helene, many roads and drives have been rebuilt, so tell us about yours when you call. Our WNC Migration Study looks at how the storm changed moves across the region.
